German Text Archive (DTA) and Digital Dictionary of German (DWDS)

The CLARIN-D Centre at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Science (BBAW) hosts a number of prominent resources. The German Text Archive (Deutsche Textarchiv, DTA) is a basic collection of German language texts from different areas originating between 1600 and 1900. The digital dictionary of German (DWDS) has a word information system for contemporary German with more than 410 000 lexicographically evaluated entries from five different dictionary sources.
